Let's ride go-karts!
We found a new thrill for Bailey. We took her on her first ride in a go-kart over the weekend and she was thrilled with the experience. Bradley and daddy rode in one kart, Patrick in another one, and I drove Bailey around in ours. She only got worried once but was all smiles and laughs and squeals otherwise. I was worried she wouldn't like it and start crying and we wouldn't be able to finish the round but she wanted to go back for another ride. We had a great time!
Surprisingly, the pools were open at the campground! It was so cool outside so the water was freezing. That didn't stop her though. We were walking around the campground early Friday evening and noticed there were kids swimming in the pool. We checked it out and I let Bailey step in there. It had a large shallow section so I let her continue to do her own thing while I watched her closely. Bradley sees us from the campsite (how convenient is that?) and comes over to see what we are doing and he jumps in also. Then Patrick notices and comes over to do the same. It's about 60-something degrees outside and all three kids are in the pool now. I'm freezing watching this. I had to pull them out just before dark to get them dried off for our hotdog dinner. Once it finally warmed up to around 70 on Saturday, I let them go back in there again for another swim.
Now that Bailey is older, she loves camping! It's nice now because she will sleep through the night, doesn't absolutely need a bottle (she can go hungry for a while or eat some bread, etc.), is steady on her feet, and just wants to have a good time.
