Kids Eat Evaluation
Bailey had her 2nd kids eat evaluation today with Dr. Christiannse. Since we had made no progress over the past 3 months I jotted down a brief summary of events to show our attempts and regression. Bailey's weight was down to 26.4 pounds today and her head circum. is still off the charts again. She has dropped a little in percentile's for growth and gained percentiles in weight, showing that she is now overweight by 2 pounds.
Our next set of goals are to continue limiting formula feedings to 24 ounces a day. Continue with the weekly feeding therapy with Shawna. Complete GI testing. Tooth brushing 2+ times a day. Return to clinic - 6 months. We were also recommended to get her evaluated by EI (Infant Toddler program) to see if they would accept her. It seems that the program here changes their requirements often and she may be able to receive additional services through them.
I was really worried about her lack of progress going into the appointment today. However, they understood her being so sick lately and hope that with the Spring weather coming soon, she will be able to make a lot of progress. We are all also very interested in her upcoming ph probe - hoping that she will drink well so the results will be as accurate as possible. I was also really surprised that there was no mention of her still being bottle fed and still getting a night bottle (even though this is when she gets all her meds for the day). And unfortunately she will be on this Nutren Jr. formula for at least another 6 months, after her 2 year birthday.
