The Pool

June 4, 2007
The Pool
Bailey spent Saturday at the pool at the campground. It is a huge pool! There is a large carpeted area where folks can sit at the edge and let their feet or legs get splashed on without freezing from the ice cold waters. There is a large 1.5 foot section where many kids like to hang out and play. These two areas are perfect for Bailey. She can walk around on the carpeted area easily and not worry about slipping, or sit down and play for a while. Or she can venture out a little deeper in the 1.5 foot section and play with the other kids. It's gradual sloping so she has no steps to manuever through.

At the beach 2 weeks ago, she had to be held while in the pool. They had no kiddie section but had 2 pools with a large 3 foot area. She was very reluctant to go into the pool this time without one of us holding her. I suppose she just needs time to adjust. As the day passed, she was becomming more and more independent in the water and learning to enjoy herself more. We left around 2pm to go back to the camper for lunch/snack and a break and thankfully she didn't fuss about it. By 2:30pm, she was snoozing! It turned too cool (Thanks to TS Barry) for her to return that day but we plan to take her back up there again this weekend.

Bailey loves her Sally Wally! She is so loving to her. She wants to hold her, play with her, feed her, talk to her.

And lastly...Bailey spit up another formula only bottle last week. So I guess that implies she still needs something in there to thicken it to help her keep it down. I would rather give her cereal in a bottle than have her go through the trauma of spitting it all back up later. Other than that, she has been fine. No meds, no Mylanta and no lactulose so she is med free and doing just fine. The coughing comes and goes and I think it's more reflux related than anything else.

Hey, thanks again for calling!! and dealing my my ADD constant interrupting of thoughts (it has been getting bad being off meds so long I forget to try to control it). Anyway, I kept meaning to say, check out www.greatschools.net

Their rating is not everything to go buy, but a good place to start. It is also where I found the breakdown of ethnic diversity. You can search on many different levels different criteria. I just think it is a good place to start and gets you thinking.

That being said, Matt makes a good point to save money we would spend on moving or a private school and make a point to put that money away for college.

So, I figure you always read these posts so I would write you here. ;)

    Thanks again for calling!

    Love and many blessings,
    Marceen
