Hotlanta!

Hotlanta!

We took Bailey to see her cousins for the first time this past week. We decided at the last minute to take a quick trip to Atlanta for our summer vacation. Bailey did great on the trip down there. It was very hot! On Monday, we took her and the boys to the Georgia Aquarium and then to the Olympic park where the water shoots out from the Olympic rings. They had a great time getting soaked. Tuesday we spent the day with their cousins and went to the Fernbank Museum (dinosaurs and GA history). Wednesday we decided to make our first trip to a water park. Bailey wasn't old enough to do very much and ended up watching the boys have fun for most of it. She did enjoy a few trips down the lazy river. On our last day there, we spent it at Stone Mountain. Bailey refused to walk up the mountain so we had to take turns carrying her. I think her favorite part was the wading creek running through the park. She loved walking through it and letting her feet get soaked. It was just her size! She also had a good time on the train and window shopping through the stores.

By Thursday evening after her bottle, she started having a rough time sleeping. I could tell it was her reflux flaring up again. She didn't sleep well at all that night. The next morning we packed up and started our trip home. She cried, gagged, and coughed off an on the whole way home. We stopped 3 times to get her out and let her walk around. After we got home she ate some mac and cheese for dinner and then about an hour later, it all comes back up. Whole chunks of shells and cheese, Bradley was amazed! Today went a little better but I could tell she was still struggling. She continued to cough and didn't eat well at all. The entire time we were in Atlanta, she only ate a few small bites of bread, gummies, and french fries. She just doesn't eat well when we are not at home.

She has taken up a bad habit of chewing on her fingernails. It all started with teething and her molars coming in. Her fingers were constantly in her mouth. She was chewing on them and actually broke through the skin in a couple of fingers. I guess it only took time for her to figure out that she can bite her nails off if she chews long enough. Now I don't have a clue how to break that until the teething is over.
