17 Months Old
It's hard to believe that Bailey is almost a year and a half old. Time sure does fly by. She is doing so much more, walking backwards, crawling backwards, walking around under a blanket (hiding), dancing around in circles, running, trying to jump. She hasn't really added any words but we are still hopeful that she will pick up more around 18 months. She still loves to watch Dora on TV and some of the other Nick Jr. shows like WonderPets, Diego, and Backyardigans. She isn't too crazy about anything else. She learns quickly and already knows how to sneak under the kitchen sink to play in the chemicals. She likes to help unload the dishwasher, pick up around the house, mop, and play in her own kitchen. Some things she doesn't like are Maria's fussy mice and balls, telling her 'NO', trying to help her when she wants to do it herself, and not getting her own way. She can get very upset when she wants to.
She enjoyed playing in her first snow Thursday. It was only a dusting but just enough for Bradley to go sledding. I don't think Bailey noticed the snow much, she was just happy to be playing and walking around outside.
She spit up again this morning. I'm not sure if it was a whole feeding like she usually does but it was quite a bit. Thankfully it was in the kitchen, as she typically does so we don't have to clean the carpet again. Maria (the cat) had already puked on the carpet earlier this morning anyway. I haven't heard back from Dr. Silkstone but we did hear from the Children's hospital and they said she was scheduled to come in on Jan. 25th for her barium swallow study. Yikes, that's this Thursday! I am not looking forward to that at all.
