Christmas is almost here

Christmas is almost here. She doesn't know what is going on yet. All the extra baking, cooking, cleaning, wrapping, all the gift bags and boxes everywhere. That big tree in the living room with all the tiny toys hanging from it. Patrick being home a lot. Daddy is home a lot. What is going on? How many people can we fit in a house? Why do I tear paper off boxes? Oh yeah, she sees Dora under that paper. Now there is some incentive! We haven't shown her anything about unwrapping presents yet because they are everywhere right now. We don't need her going on an unwrapping spree. Well, until tonight. We presented her with her first gift to open. It's from her Gparents (Douglas). And she just looks at the big box. It sure is a pretty box too. Too big to to pick up. Too big to move around the house. So we tease her with a tear, and she follows along. Finally she tears enough to see Dora and she is done. She sees Dora! That's all she needed to see. It's a Dora tricycle but still in the box. So...she doesn't understand what it is, but she knows Dora is on the box. Then her uncle Robbie gives her another gift. This one is in a bag. One similar to what she has been dragging around the house. She won't peek in so I show her what is in the bag and YES! It is another Dora. A Dora doll this time. OMG she has the biggest fit getting mad at me. I am not nearly fast enough to rescue Dora from all the wires and plastic and cardboard. And once I get her free, she is one happy camper. She checks her out, holds her, hugs her, combs her hair. And then that quickly, she loses interest and is off on another adventure. Just wait until Christmas Day...

And to note, Bailey spit up twice again today. It's been just over 2 weeks since her last episode. I tried a Go-gurt on her today. She liked the pink, but not the blue one. I think she ate about an ounce of the pink one.
