Such a girl!

Bailey is evolving into such a little girl! It's so amazing to watch her change and become her own little self. She has always loved playing with her clothes. Now it's with her shoes, she like to try them on, take them off, play with them. She likes to carry around a bag on her shoulder like I do the diaper bag. I'll put some of her toys in there for her to explore and she will take them out, and put back in, give some away, and take some back. Saturday, she finally shows some interest in her doll. She was studying every little detail, the baby's hand, feet, face, hair. She carried it around for a little while and put it somewhere else. She enjoyed laughing at its bobbing head, and the baby playing peek-a-boo with her. Maybe there is hope past all these Hot Wheels she has been playing with.

Regarding her feeding therapy...I'm at a loss right now. I can get her to take a few bites of Danimals yogurt. It's very smooth and creamy. But after a few bites, whether it's an ounce or two, she begins to gag. How can I teach her to enjoy it if she is still gagging so much on it? How can she increase her volume, if she keeps gagging on it after a few bites. She tries, but then has a negative experience and I'm sure it sets her back a few steps. She was hungry. So I know she wasn't overeating. She is getting just over 1/2 of Nutren Jr. in her night bottles now and tolerates about a tsp in every day bottle. I will try to double the day bottle dose soon and see how she reacts.

She was acting pretty hungry last week, pretty fussy and eating over 50 ounces some days but after concentrating her formula by an ounce per bottle, she seems to have finally calmed back down. I think she gained back the weight she lost while teething. When I attempted to weigh her at home this morning, it said 24 pounds, which is pretty accurate but I'll round back down to 23.5 where she was just over a month ago.
