Back to step one?

Friday, September 8, 2006
Well, after thinking through, I have noticed that Bailey really hasn't accomplished much this past year with her feeding skills. She is still on Enfamil AR formula. She will not eat babyfood. She tries to eat noodles, cookies, crackers, dry cereals, and other similar foods but very little makes it to her tummy. This past week she is still gagging when I try regular Enfamil mixed with oatmeal cereal, then she coughs a lot afterward, she still coughs and gags if I don't dilute her Prevacid enough for her to tolerate, she still spits up a whole bottle occassionally. She does enjoy feeding herself foods and looks forward to doing so.

Other milestones seem to be met at an appropriate age. She is cruising along the furniture, crawling anywhere she wants to go, she stands up without support in the middle of the floor for a few seconds at a time, she uses her pincer grasp to pick up tiny objects, she likes to play (well eat) with playdoh, she watches TV, talks on a microphone, throws a ball, climbs a whole flight of stairs, just about anything she wants to do. She loves to practice standing alone and will clap when she gets there. She is so proud of herself. She will be walking any day now.
