Happy Birthday Bailey
Sunday, August 27, 2006
Bailey had her birthday party today. We invited some friends and all the family and she had a pretty good turnout considering how hot it was. She napped on the way to her party and while we decorated a Dora theme. Then she finally woke up right as people were starting to arrive. She was in very good spirits and had a great time. She walked around a little while to visit with everyone while we ate hot dogs. Then we let her open her presents and boy did she get a lot of toys and clothes. She wanted to play with the toys right then! But we didn't have much time for that. We let the kids Put the nose on the clown and all of them knew too well where that nose belongs! So they start tricking each other to mess up. After tearing into her presents, we had cake! She had a Dora cake with the topper for her to keep. We lit a candle and let one of her friends blow it out. I set her right in front of the cake to see what her reaction would be. She touched the icing with her finger and licked it. It must have been good because then she stuck her whole fist into the side of the cake and pulled it back out to lick the icing off her fingers. That was one huge mess and I had to clean her up in the sink. She had such a great time at her party.
