Unfamiliar Places, Unfamiliar People
Wow, the summer is flying by! We just got back from a trip to Williamsburg, VA. Steve had to work in the area and took us along. We stayed in a cabin at a campground so the kids could enjoy the outdoors. The boys rode their bikes at every opportunity and we visited each of the three playgrounds many times a day. Bailey enjoyed walks and rides around the campground and would take her kitty on a walk in the stroller sometimes also.
Well, I can definitely see it now. The unfamiliar places and unfamiliar people and the stress it all brings to Bailey. She does not eat well (or at all) in those environments. So the whole trip ended up being mostly bottles. She ate some gummies here and there (we found SpongeBob!) a couple slices of cheese, some ice cream, a couple of french fries, and that was pretty much it for the whole trip. Once we got home yesterday, she had some toaster strudel, cheese pizza, and chocolate pudding (that was unusual). She was hungry, but too stressed to relax and eat.
She has learned to sit in the big kids swing and prefers it over the baby swings now. Loud noises scare her so everytime the Amtrak or freight train came barrelling through the campground, she would freak out. She loved to shop, played with clothes on the clothes rack, especially those down low on her level and again once the clothes were in the bag, took them out, put them in, switched them around. She loved all the playground hopping! A little kids dream.
