Once again, vomiting, or spitting up?

Once again, vomiting, or spitting up?
We were on a really good run. Bailey spit up a minimal amount last week and then had no other such events until yesterday. She spit up/puked a bottle 2-3 hours after she drank it...in her carseat. It was very nasty! Very dark in color and very mucousy. Like I said, NASTY!! I'm still trying to clean the smell out of the carseat. And what is worse, it's not like it sat around for hours to soak in. I started cleaning on it right after I got her cleaned up. She is still having her little episodes, a total of 3 yesterday and so far 1 today. I have no idea what causes them unless she is coming down with something. She ran a fever starting at 10 last night and I'm waiting to see if it returns tonight.

We are still planning on trying therapy tomorrow, unless the fever returns. She may not have much of an appetite, but hopefully we can at least reaquaint her with Shawna. I have been giving her bottles, but diluted 1-2 with water with extra rice.

could this be related to motion sickness??? It seems Sabina and Bailey have had some similar issues - though I do nothing about them but mostly let nature take course - I am actually afraid to let doctors take control of some things since I know my mom went through it all with me.

Anyway, Sabina gets motion sick any time we are in the car 20 minutes or more. It is horrible, awful, gross, and so far no stopping it. I refuse to give a 1 yr old OTC medication for it even though I have been told there is really nothing else. Most medications say for 12+ and I am just to give her a fraction of it. But when Sabina gets sick in the truck, it stays with her - sometimes a few hours, sometimes the rest of the day just getting scaled down.

Of course I know I have some reflux issues and I think Sabina has some minor reflux issues, but I know I got car sick all my life.

It just seems they are all somewhat related.

I just found out that ginger can prevent motion sickness... makes sense since ginger snaps always helps pregnancy sickness... again, it seems they all tie in somehow. I am just spilling out my thoughts and sharing them so maybe between the two of us we can make our own connections. I really don't think doctors know it all.

So I wonder if a lot of Bailey's spitting up has been in the car or related to traveling??? For Sabina car sickness started at about 6 months and just has gotten worse and worse. If you really can't recall, maybe keep that in mind for the future.

I am glad the mylanta seems to help some though.

Sometimes I question myself not to medicate at all. Who really knows what is right? The last two nights Sabina has woken up with blood curling screams. She goes bakc to sleep herself within five minutes, but then I lie awake wondering if my "hands off" method is damaging her pyschologically. Of course, she wakes up smiling as if to reassure me, and everyone claims she is the happiest baby on Earth.

Just keeping the communication going with you for my own sanity! LOL I know I take a total opposite extreme as you - and I think non-medicating and letting the body adapt has done some good too - but it is still nice to keep up with Bailey and see what the steps of the medical side of things are.

I think part of me going "all natural" is I could NEVER keep up with your appointments!

BIG HUGS to both you and Bailey!

    love and many blessings,
    Marceen

PS - I had to creat a NEW ID, maybe because I never made a webpage! LOL
